Our Managing Principal holds Masters Degrees in both Architecture and Civil Engineering, as well as licenses and certifications in numerous states.
He has been involved in many facets of building/structure stabilization, failure investigation, and repair/restoration assignments around the globe.
This experience includes nearly three decades of response to large commercial building failures following Hurricanes Katrina, Ike, Harvey, Irma, Maria, CAT90/Sandy, the Christchurch, NZ earthquakes, the Joplin Tornado, and many other large loss events. In addition, he has collaborated in the investigation and remedial design services for iconic structures such as the Chrysler Building and Empire State Building in New York City, and The Wrigley Building in Chicago.
This expertise and proficiency in disaster response, post-incident investigations, and disaster mitigation builds upon experience working as a first responder in multiple states, serving in the role of Firefighter, Lieutenant and Instructor, in addition to assignment as a Structures Specialist with DHS/FEMA Urban Search and Rescue (US&R), and the FEMA US&R IST incident management team. In this role, our Managing Principal served as the Lead Incident Structures Specialist, responsible for coordination of engineering, building monitoring, and structural hazard mitigation during Urban Search and Rescue (US&R) operations at the Champlain Towers South building collapse in Surfside, Florida.
